Hirving Lozano says that he thinks to play for PSV Eindhoven for years after Arsenal were reportedly targeted the Mexican forward.

Spanish newspaper Marca claimed that the Gunners are chasing Lozano, despite the Mexican only moving to PSV Eindhoven over the summer, according to latest reports.

Lozano was asked about transfer rumours around him, and he responded:

“How long do I play at PSV? I do not know that, but at this moment I am 100 percent focused on the team and hope to play for years. PSV is a beautiful club with fantastic people.”

Gunners scout Steve Rowley has been watching him this season, and it’s believed that the north London club are ready to offer £22.4m in January.

After another goal against Heracles Almelo, Lozano now has scored seven in as many league games for his new club, as well as collected four assists. Considering he’s been making those matches from the wing, both on the left and on the right, his goal contributions are all the more impressive.

The 22-year-old’s form for the national side is similarly impressive at the moment. In September, he scored the winner for Mexico against Panama. In October, he came off the bench to score the equalizer against Trinidad and Tobago.

Arsenal’s scouts will have to decide whether the player’s good form for club and country is worth the north London club making a bid in January transfer window, although they’re likely to be met with some resistance as he’s only been with the Dutch Eredivisie side since July.
