Alexis Sanchez could be set for a move abroad with the Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain reportedly ready to jump at the opportunity to sign him when the January transfer window opens, with Manchester City not willing to pay for his services.

The Chile international looks set to leave the north London club by the end of the season with no plans to extend his current contract at the Emirates.

Manchester City are thought to be leading the race for the former Barcelona attacker after making a bid in the summer.

That offer was rejected in the final hours of the transfer deadline day with Arsenal not having enough time to bring in a replacement.

But not agreeing on a deal in the summer could prove costly for the Gunners with Pep Guardiola side offering as much as £50million.

His price-tag will go down in January with potential suitors aware they could sign him for free at the end of the season.

And that’s what City are reportedly prepared to do.

According to El Gol Digital, Manchester city boss Pep Guardiola is aware of the risk they face by not making a bid for the 28-year-old but are prepared to wait.

However, that will give PSG a free run at signing Sanchez, and the report claims the Ligue 1 giants are prepared to offer £26.5million.

And it is claimed Arsenal would rather take the money as opposed to the prospect of losing the former Barcelona forward on a free six months later.

Alexis Sanchez joined Arsenal in summer of 2014 from Barcelona for a £32m reported transfer fee. He has played in 152 matches so far and scored 74 goals for the club. The Chile international won the two FA Cups with the Gunners.
