Manchester City are reportedly preparing to make a “big” bid for the signature of Arsenal winger Alexis Sanchez when the transfer window reopens in January.
The 28-year-old is out of the deal at the Emirates in the summer and has rejected to sign a new contract as he eyes more eye-watering chances elsewhere.
The Citizens almost finalized a deal for Sanchez last summer, only for the transfer to fall through at the last minute due to the North Londoners’ failure to secure a replacement for the South American.
The Premier League giants had been expected to make a move again for him in January but are now expected to make a massive offer to thwart competition from European giants: Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
As reported by The Telegraph, Arsenal are still settled that they will need to land successor before selling Sanchez to City and will need a fee “more than £50m” for the deal to happen.
Sanchez is believed to be demanding salaries of around £300,000 a week from any club interested in his signature.
