David Moyes is keen on signing Jack Wilshere from Arsenal. The Scottish manager is keen to get the England midfielder in January if he is released by Arsenal.
He believes it will be easy for the England midfielder to immediately hit the ground running at West Ham United due to his familiarity with the Premier League style of play. “You’d hope that if you took a player from another Premier League club it’d be much easier for him to go right into the team and play well,” the West Ham manager said.
According to Moyes, West Ham will only avoid being relegated from the English Premier League if they spend big during next year’s winter transfer window. The newly appointed West Ham coach believes there is a great chance of staying above the relegation zone in couple of weeks, if the club spends some amount of money to get players who possess the right attitude and players who are willing to give their 100% dedication and commitment when playing for the club.
“I do believe the transfer window could be the difference between relegation and staying up, if we can get the right players,” he said.
The coach also gave the type of players he would love to get when the transfer window begins. According to him, he wants players who are ready to stay in the club for a very long period of time.
Jack Wilshere has been an Arsenal player since he was a kid; he made his debut for Arsenal senior team in 2008, making him the youngest Arsenal player in Premier League history.
While speaking to reporters during the mid-week pre-match conference, Moyes believes his target for now is to build on the shock victory they recorded against Chelsea last weekend. He said that the most important thing on his mind is how to ensure that his team gets the desired results which will help them avoid the drop.
The former Manchester United coach also spoke on his failed-bid for Aaron Ramsey during his time as Everton coach. Aaron Ramsey eventually signed for Arsenal in 2008 from Cardiff City, Despite David Moyes’ effort to get the player.
