Reports from the Express suggest Arsenal will only agree to sell Alexis Sanchez if Julian Draxler will be allowed to make the switch from Paris Saint-Germain.

The German international has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirate Stadium in the previous transfer window but it seems he could finally be on the move after falling behind pecking order at PSG.

Arsenal appear increasingly resigned to losing Sanchez, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

The Chilean was wanted by Manchester City over the summer and Pep Guardiola is keen to reunite with the star, who he previously worked with at Barcelona.

Arsene Wenger has been assessing potential options to replace the 29-year-old.

Paris Saint-Germain star Julian Draxler is a long-standing target and is seen as the ideal replacement for Sanchez.

And according to The Sun, Wenger has one condition on selling Sanchez and that is he can find a replacement first.

The report says Arsenal are prepared to pay £30million for Draxler.

However, the Germany international is valued at £40m.

Draxler is supposedly keen on leaving the Parc des Princes after falling out of favour following Neymar’s arrival from Barcelona in the summer.

PSG boss Unai Emery admitted earlier this month that Draxler is still key to his plans.

He said: “He’s in a constant evolution and he still has a lot of energy.

“At PSG, Draxler is in very good hands, he’s a great contributor to our game, he’s learning a lot.

“I talk to him a lot and I’m very demanding with him and he’s one of those very ambitious players and he shows that with good performances, also for the national team, and he’s a very important player for us.”
