Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is set to decide his future this week as his agent jets in for crunch talks with the club, according to a report.
The Mirror claim that Giroud’s agent, Michael Manuello, is due to fly into London to begin discussions with club chiefs about the French international’s future.
The 31-year-old was a target for Premier League rivals Everton and West Ham in the summer, but decided to stay and fight for his place at the north London club.
That decision has not necessarily paid off for the forward as he has only been handed one Premier League start this season under Arsene Wenger.
He has managed four top-flight goals in his 15 appearances so far, along with three more in the Europa League as he continues to stake his claim for a starting berth.
But it has been summer signing and French compatriot Alexandre Lacazette that has been preferred up front for Wenger, and Giroud knows that his lack of starts is hurting his World Cup chances.
