Wolverhampton Wanderers believed to have had a bid of £34.7m turned down for Arsenal target, AC Milan forward Andre Silva.

The young attacker moved to the San Siro last June in a £33.5m transfer from Porto, however, has yet to find the net in Serie A, leaving the Italian giants open to the thought of selling him off this month.

The Toffees and Arsenal have been linked with his services in last weeks, however, according to Italian outlet cation Corriere Della Sera, Wolves have already lodged a massive bid and have been rebuffed.

The stories suggest that the Championship giants are preparing to return with a second offer as they look to make sure of promotion to the Premier League in the second half of the season.

The Midlands side already broke the transfer record for England’s second tier six months ago when they paid £15.8m for Ruben Neves from Porto, where head coach Nuno Espirito Santo was in charge the last term.

Wolves backed by wealthy Chinese firm Fosun International now have a 12-point advantage at the top of the Standings.
