Arsenal are set to offload Olivier Giroud to Borussia Dortmund as part of their contract negotiations for Dortmund’s Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, reports IBTimes.

Arsene Wenger is keen on Aubameyang’s signature and he is ready to get him even if it cost him losing a player. The Bundesliga giants are reportedly unwilling to let go of  the striker for a fee less than £60million but Arsenal seem not ready to meet the price tag.

Olivier Giroud is one of fringe players in Arsene Wenger’s team who could move out of Emirates stadium before the close of the January transfer market. The Frenchman told reporters that he might move to a club where he will feature more regularly.

Aubameyang is wanted by Arsene Wenger as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez who is certain to leave the North London club before the end of the January window. Reports have surfaced that Aubameyang has agreed personal terms to join Arsenal and this will greatly delight the fans of Arsenal.

Aubameyang days at the Westfalenstadion stadium are numbered as the team can no longer cope with his attitude on and off the pitch. The 29-year-old player has been suspended by Dortmund’s disciplinary committee more than twice this season and they are ready to partway with the proven goalscorer.

According to Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc, the club’s relationship with Aubameyang is at the breaking point therefore they can’t continue tolerating his indiscipline.

“At some point you can’t tolerate it [lack of discipline from Aubameyang] anymore,” Zorc said.
