According to the Frenchman, Olivier Giroud will remain at the club should he fail to acquire the services of his prime target Aubameyang. The manager further revealed that he has no plan of selling any player if there is no addition to his team in the ongoing transfer market.
“I want Olivier to stay. I just told you if nobody comes in, nobody goes out,” Wenger said.
Olivier Giroud has been linked with a move to the Turkish League while Chelsea have also shown interest in the player. Antonio Conte seems to have turned his searchlight on the Gunners’ fringe player as he is not certain of Dzeko’s move to Stamford Bridge.
While reacting to the club’s transfer plan, Wenger admitted he could sign one player before the end of the transfer market, but he is certainly not close to completing any as at this morning.
“I can’t give you any special name, but will we still recruit somebody? It’s possible, we will try, but at the moment we are not close to signing anybody,” he concluded
