Arsenal have upped their bid for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger confirmed talks are ongoing with Borussia Dortmund in an attempt to sign the Gabon striker.
And Bild report the offer on the table has increased from £48million to £51m.
Dortmund are holding out for an extra £10m and are believed to want Arsenal hitman Olivier Giroud on loan until the end of the season included in any deal.
Aubameyang, 28, has reportedly agreed personal terms to move to the Emirates.
Arsenal chief Ivan Gazidis, top scout Sven Mislintat and contract negotiator Huss Fahmy were pictured parking next to Aubameyang’s flash Porsche in a Dortmund hotel this week.
Wenger yesterday insisted a deal was still some way away.
He said: “We are not close to doing a deal for Aubameyang or anybody else.”
And the Frenchman denied Dortmund have asked for Giroud, 31, as a makeweight.
Wenger added: “The negotiations are not as far as that. You never know how close you are.
General manager Michael Zorc said: “What is going on now is not to be tolerated by the club. It is clear: It cannot go on like this.
“I don’t know what is going through his mind. I don’t recognise him anymore. There is trouble in the team and that is not good.”
Aubameyang fuelled speculation he was on his way to Arsenal yesterday by packing up his car with boxes.
But the Dortmund star was simply receiving goods from one of his sponsors.
