Arsenal and English midfielder Ben Sheaf has completed a loan move to League Two side Stevenage, according to reports.
The youngster started his journey to professional football with West Ham United when he was 13 before joining Arsenal in the summer of 2014. Sheaf made his debut for the Gunners in the Europa League Cup when he came on to replace Francis Coquelin in the 89th minutes against Red Star Belgrade in the October of 2017. However, he has found it difficult to break into the Gunners first team.
The 19-year-old midfielder was on the radar of several English Clubs but Stevenage appear to have won the race for his signature, according to Footballinsider. He is expected to continue his development with the side until the end of the season and there are indications that he could be featured for his new side when they take on Chesterfield this weekend.
Sheaf has built for himself the reputation of a versatile midfielder, as he can play in the defence too. He has been a regular figure for the B team of Arsenal for quite some time now and he has earned call-ups to the Under-16 and U18 levels of England.
His best bet at developing quickly and playing regularly is away from Arsenal for now at least.
