Replacement Found- Aubameyang To Complete Medicals By Tuesday

Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Arsenal may be nearing a deal for prime target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after reports indicated that Borussia Dortmund are weighing on a deal for Wissam Ben Yedder as Auba’s replacement.

Dortmund are bent of letting Aubameyang leave following his consistent misdemeanor but they will not do same without signing a replacement for the Gabonese.

Arsenal have signified interest in the goal poacher but they have failed to meet his valuation despite improving their first offers for him. However, Arsenal are expected to sign the 28-year-old striker on or before the close of the transfer window.

It appears that the Signa Iduna Park outfit are willing to budge but on the condition that they sign another striker that will fill in the big boots of Auba.  Sevilla frontman Ben Yedder is now top of Dortmund’s target list reports the Mirror – they were looking out for Olivier Giroud but Arsenal are not willing to add the French striker in the deal for Aubameyang.

Arsenal have recouped funds from the sale of players in the summer and you wonder if they really have money. The difference in their offer for Aubameyang and the asking price of Dortmund is a paltry £15million and i’d say if they really want him, they should sign him than putting the fans on the edge of their seats.

Wenger who has a knack for being coy on the transfers of players was quizzed on the latest regarding Aubameyang’s move to Arsenal and he said:

“I cannot tell you more. We’ve nothing to announce today and at the moment we stay where we are.

“We have added [Henrikh] Mkhitaryan, lost Alexis and our squad is stable. If anything else happens I’d say I don’t know. It’s still possible but we’re far from being close.”
