Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.
It is transfer deadline day and personally, i think what we need more at Arsenal is a brand new manager and not just new players. How do you explain that the horrendous defeat against Swansea on Tuesday night Arsene Wenger?
Well, away from the heartbreaking defeat, Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang deal is going on and will be completed today, according to reports.’
Arsenal had a breakthrough in their offer to sign Aubameyang after Borrussia Dortmund accepted £55.5million fee for the star. However, the Bundesliga Club have said they will only sanction his departure and accept the Gunners offer if they find a replacement for him.
Dortmund are yet to find a replacement for Auba but they have bee heavily linked with a move for Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi, while Olivier Giroud is expect to go to Chelsea.
Even though, Dortmund are yet to sanction his move, Aubameyang landed in London on Tuesday ahead of the completion of the deal. Arsene Wenger faced the press men after Swansea thumped his side and he was quizzed about the player’s move – the French tactician said:
“We will know about that tomorrow morning.’
There is also a report circulating in the media, with Claims that Arsenal have accidentally confirmed the signing of Auba in a leaked video.
“Yes, good news, we need people who can give us more offensive power, we are not efficient enough going forward and I believe he can bring that.’ Wenger said of Auba when asked by Arsenal player.
Aubameyang is expected to complete his move to Arsenal today as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who joined Man United last week.
Arsenal are not looking like they will make the top four or qualify for the Champions League. While, Arsene Wenger tries to fortify his squad, he should also try to sign a new manager for the CLub. We are tired of seeing same old failing tactics and Aubameyang may not even change anything if Wenger tarries.
