Arsenal are plotting a swoop for Benfica star Andrija Zivkovic.
The Gunners are keen on wrapping up a deal for the highly-rated Serbian this summer according to Portuguese media outlet O Jogo.
Zivkovic, 21, has long been regarded as a potential top player in Serbia, after making his debut for Partizan Belgrade as a 17-year-old.
Such was his impact, he was handed his senior international debut for the country at the same age.
He even became the youngest captain in Partizan’s history when he was handed the armband in his breakthrough season aged 17 years and seven months.
Zivkovic was on Arsene Wenger’s radar long before his free transfer move to Portugal on a five-year deal in 2016.
Zivkovic is a valuable asset to Benfica and it’s believed that the Serbian play-maker has a £52.5m release clause stapled within his current contract, so if the Gunners are indeed eyeing a move for the 21-year-old in the summer, they may have to fork out a premium to prise his signature from the Estadio da Luz.
