Real Madrid star Marco Asensio has reportedly told club president Florentino Perez that as many as five clubs are interested in signing him this summer.
The 22-year-old has proved himself as one of the top young footballers in European football. However he has been limited to only 11 La Liga starts despite Madrid’s poor domestic form so far this campaign.
Asensio stays keen to remain at the Bernabeu. However, Diario Gol suggests that he would be set to move on unless he is afforded more consistent first-team chances.
Between the interested sides are Premier League giants Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, with the latter believed to be particularly keen to land the Spain International to improve the form of Alvaro Morata.
But, fellow European giants Juventus and Bayern Munich are expected to provide competition for his services in a five-team race for the Spaniard.
The story claims that there was interest in Asensio during the January transfer window too. However, Madrid are reluctant to lose the Spain international, who has netted eight goals and set up five more in 30 games across all tournaments this campaign.
