Arsenal have officially confirmed that the game for tonight’s clash against Manchester City would go as scheduled despite reports claiming it would be postponed due to snowfall.
The Emirates Stadium pitch has finally been cleared of snow, with Arsenal confirming their game against Manchester City is on.
Ground staff have been working throughout Thursday to clear away the snow brought by Siberian storms blown over from Russia, known as the ‘Beast from the East’.
Freezing temperatures and icy storms all week in London cast the match into doubt, however the stadium itself has been made usable, with piles of snow also cleared from seats and stairs in the stands.
Around the stadium, however, there is still plenty of snow on the ground, meaning fans will have to be careful when arriving for the evening kick-off.
