Joachim Low has been made the leading candidate to take over at Arsenal in the summer should Arsene Wenger leave before his contract expires.
Wenger’s 22-year tenure at the Gunners is reportedly close to coming to an end.
The Frenchman has come under mounting pressure recently as Arsenal’s season crumbles.
They have lost four in a row, including two 3-0 drubbings from Manchester City.
The first of those losses was in the Carabao Cup final, which drew huge criticism from fans and pundits alike.
As well as this the north London side crashed out of the FA Cup to Nottingham Forest and are currently sixth in the Premier League.
Being 13 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham, the Gunners’ best chance of playing Champions League football next season will be the win the Europa League.
But they face a stiff challenge in AC Milan, with the first leg being played tonight at the San Siro.
But according to ESPN, Wenger is a dead man walking and current Germany boss Low has been earmarked as the ideal replacement.
Low, 58, is under contract with the German national team until after the 2020 Euros.
