The Gunners have been linked with a move for 19-year-old goalkeeper Alban Lafont who is set to leave Toulouse this summer, according to the French media, with Arsenal and four other club reportedly has shown interest for his signature.
L’Equipe (via GFFN) report that Lafont is planning a summer move. Napoli are the leading candidate for his signature, but they’re only willing to spend €10m (£8.76m) plus bonuses, which doesn’t meet Toulouse’s asking price.
However, Lafont has earlier admitted he likes Arsenal, and watched the club’s matches since he was young. Arsene Wenger’s side could therefore have the edge in negotiations with the player himself.
If the highest bid so far is only around £8.76m, Arsenal will have to ready to table and improve bid to secure his services ahead of this summer.
