Real Madrid have told Arsenal we can sign Luka Modric if an offer of around £53m is put on the table for the midfielder this summer.
Modric has been one of the best midfielders in world football since joining Madrid from Tottenham in 2012 having helped them win a number of trophies including 3 Champions League titles.
However, the Croatian international’s future at the Bernabeu has been cast in doubt as he turns 33 in September and he’s been tipped to be a high-profile departure as Zinedine Zidane overhaul’s his squad this summer.
Modric has been linked with a shock move to Arsenal in recent weeks and TeamTalk cite a report from Marca that claims Madrid have now informed us they’ll sell if their £53m valuation is met.
That’s a huge figure for a player coming towards the end of his career but the report says Madrid are still confident they can command such a fee and will cash-in as long as they can secure a replacement.
Marca also claim that Inter Milan, Napoli and Roma have all been put off by the hefty valuation which has left Arsenal in the clear to sign the former Tottenham star.
