Sven Mislintat Suggest German Sensation As Petr Cech Replacement This Summer

Sven Mislintat has reportedly convinced Arsene Wenger that Bayer Leverkusen keeper, Bernd Leno, is the best option to replace Petr Cech this summer.

Arsenal have been linked with a number of keepers ahead of the summer window when they are expected to buy one, but probably won’t if previous experience has taught us anything.

According to reports across the redtops, Mislintat wants Leno and has convinced Wenger he’s the man to replace Cech. The 26-year-old would cost between £25m and £30m which is certainly a lot cheaper than many of the other options being mentioned.

This is not the first time Arsenal have been linked with Leno. Ahead of last summer the club were also linked with him and it’s nice to see that he was only priced at £22m back then. Inflation has not his price go crazy.

Leno is under contract with the German side until 2020.

He has previously said he will only leave Germany to be a number one. “If I go abroad, then not as number 1 contender, but only as clear number 1,” he said.
