What we have at Arsenal is a marriage of convenience between Arsene Wenger and the brass of the club, who are both scared to end their relationships. However, it is only a matter time before we enter into the post-Wenger era.

The board of Arsenal have agreed to forcefully end Arsene Wenger’s reign as the manager of Arsenal but they are in disagreement over the man to replace him, according to report.

Wenger is currently the longest serving manager of the Premier League but the statue of the club has gone from bad to worse, with the North London outfit currently experiencing their worst spell for the last 20-years.

The fans of Arsenal are greatly divided over the continuous stay of Wenger but majority have called for his sack. Several names have been mentioned as probable replacement for the French manager including Mikel Arteta, Luis Enrique, Carlo Ancelotti and the latest being Patrick Vieira.

According to the Metro, while Arsenal have decided on relief Wenger of his position at the club, Chief executive Ivan Gazidis, head of recruitment Sven Mislintat and Head of football relations Raul Sanllehi have put in structure to ease in a new manager.

The report claims that Gazidis is a fan of Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim and Celtic’s Brendan Rodgers. While Sanllehi wants Luis Enrique – however, the aforementioned Arsenal men are also lurking over a possible move for Mikel Arteta, who has been with Pep Guardiola.
