Announcement Imminent As Respected Source Confirm Wenger’s Replacement

According to the Express, Skysport Pundit Guillem Balague has made bizarre claims that Luis Enrique will only say yes to Arsenal if he could see a possibility of winning major silverware in his first campaign in charge.

Enrique is one of the favourites with the bookies to replace Arsene Wenger, who will leave Arsenal in the summer.

Balague says Enrique may not be the style of manager Arsenal want, claiming they may prefer a less high-profile candidate.

However, he believes if Enrique is the chosen one he would only be at the club for a few years, so immediate success would be a necessity for him.

“What they’re looking for is a ‘club’ person,” Balague explained on Sky Sports News.

“That is going to be very, very important and perhaps people may be a little bit unfazed by some of the names because they don’t seem to fit the thinking of the fans, they want the biggest names available, the one with the biggest number of titles and so on.

“But it may not be what Arsenal are looking for.

“In terms of Luis Enrique, they are interested and quite clearly they are not the only club interested in him.

“But he’s peculiar, he’s not one that you can convince by money, you have to convince him by project.

“But money will be important, he was one of the best paid managers in the world, he doesn’t want to change that that much.

“So it’s about the project, it’s about if he sees the possibility of winning straight away, that’s important because he won’t be one to be at a club for a long time.

“He won’t be one to be there longer than three years, perhaps wherever he goes.”
