Arsenal have received a huge set back in their pursuit of Sweden and RB Leipzig winger Emil Forsberg, after a ranking member of the club revealed that they will not be selling any of their players, according to report.

Forsberg has been a key figure for his club since he joined them in the January of 2015 and he has seen his stock risen ever since. He was linked with a move to Liverpool in the January of 2016 but the Reds failed to complete a move for him at that time.

The 26-year-old is very well noted by Arsenal and has been linked with a move to the Emirates and AC Milan despite experiencing a poorer form than last season.

Last month, the Swedish attacker hinted on a possible move away from RB Leipzig when he tweeted “Thanks for everything” after he was Red carded in their 5-2 defeat to Hoffenheim.

While there is so much uncertainty over the future of Forsberg, RB Leipzig sporting director Ralf Rangnick has revealed that it is only Nabil Keita who will leave to join Liverpool, with an agreement already in place.

“In recent months, I’ve said many times we will keep all the top performers, apart from Naby Keita,” he told MDR.

“For me, Emil Forsberg is one of the top performers, so I don’t think for a second that Emil could leave the club. You can ask me 10 more times, but my answer will always be the same.

“If it’s up to me, Emil stays. And the club has supported me over the last six years. So, he’ll play here next year.”

With an incoming manager set to take over the footballing affairs of Arsenal, new players are expected to be signed at the end in the summer.’

Forsberg is valued at 25,00 Mill. € according to transfermarkt.
