Arsenal legends Steve Bould and Jens Lehmann are being offered the chance to stay on at the club as coaches.
Germany World Cup star Lehmann, goalkeeper for the Gunners’ 2004 Invincibles, joined the coaching staff last summer and they want to keep him after Arsene Wenger’s imminent departure after almost 22 years.
Title-winning defender Bould, who has been Wenger’s No2 in recent seasons, is also highly regarded.
Arsenal want to keep him on once they appoint a new manager, but it remains to be seen whether either will take up the offer.
The Gunners hope they will, although Wenger’s departure will see a big clear-out of his backroom staff.
