Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno is keen to join Arsenal this summer.
The Gunners are expected to splash the cash in the next few months with Arsenal likely to back their new manager in the transfer window.
And according to The Sun, Arsenal are looking to replace Petr Cech, 35.
They say Leverkusen No 1 Leno has been on the Gunners’ radar for months and he tops their wishlist to succeed Cech at the Emirates.
And The Sun reckon Germany international Leno, 26, is keen to join Arsenal this summer.
Leno, who would be Cech’s long-term replacement, would cost the Gunners around £25m.
The German’s current Leverkusen contract runs until 2020.
As well as Cech, David Ospina’s Arsenal future is currently up in the air, with the 29-year-old reportedly open to leaving the Gunners to get regular game time elsewhere.
Arsene Wenger took charge of his final Arsenal game last weekend, as the Gunners beat Huddersfield 1-0 on the final day of the Premier League season.
The 68-year-old had 22 remarkable years in north London, winning 10 major trophies.
The Frenchman has been vocal about Arsenal surviving without him, with Wenger claiming the Gunners need two or three players this summer.
When asked about the club’s transfer plans following his exit, Wenger said: “It’s quite simple to look at what needs to be improved.”
Former Arsenal star Mikel Arteta is the favourite to replace Wenger at the Emirates.
Manchester City coach Arteta is set to hold talks with the Gunners over the next few days over the vacant role.
