Following the resignation of Arsene Wenger as the manager of Arsenal, the club have been in the search for a manager that will replace the legendary Wenger. While Arteta was the leading man for the job, reports suddenly emerged that Arsenal have decided to appoint Emery.

Emery left Sevilla for Paris Saint Germain, and in his two years with the Park des Princes outfit, he has won one League title and four other domestic trophies – nonetheless, this has not gone down well with the management of PSG as they decided to relief him of his position.

Although, Emery’s spell with the Ligue 1 Champions have been adjudged as a failure, he is very much respected in the football world. The 46-year-old Spaniard is very much remembered for his dominance in the Europa Cup where he won three of those titles with Sevilla.

And according to the BBC, Arsenal’s decision to appoint the Spanish tactician stems only from his achievement with Sevilla in the Europa Cup.

Arsenal fans are said to be heavily divided over the choice of Emery despite the fact that he has experience.
