Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may have dropped a massive hint that Sokratis Papastathopoulos is on the verge of becoming Arsenal’s first summer transfer done deal with his recent activity on Social Media.
The Gunners have been linked with a plethora of defenders including Juventus star Stephan Lichtsteiner, and Freiburg’s Çağlar Söyüncü but Papastathopoulos is the prime target of the London club as Sven Mislintat has been working on the player’s deal.
Papastathopoulos is in the final year of his current contract with Dortmund but he has refused to put pen to paper on a deal as he has set his sight on a new challenge with Arsenal.
Following Papastathopoulos’s familiarity with former teammates Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, it is said that he will easily bed into the Gunners first team.
Aubameyang liked a comment on Instagram which claimed a reunion is in the offing and the Mirror have reported it as a major hint that Arsenal may have signed the 29-year-old Greek defender.
