Ghana and Torino defensive midfielder Afriyie Acquah has revealed that he dreams of lacing his boots for Arsenal, this is according to report.
Arsenal have been in the market to sign a defensive midfielder and it is widely reported that they have reached an agreement with Sampdoria for the signature of Lucas Torreira, leaving no chance for Acquah to realise his Premier League dream.
Acquah joined the Turin based club from Hoffenheim in the summer of 2015 but while he’s highly rated, he has not won the attraction of Arsenal scouts.
The tenacious marksman spoke to ghanaweb, where he laid bare his desire to join Arsenal: In January, I was moving to Birmingham but later there were a lot of issues, so I couldn’t move.
“My dream is to play in England, so always I pray that one day, I get a chance to play there.
“I don’t have a favourite team I want to play for, but any club, even if it’s Chelsea or Arsenal.
“The team I like is Arsenal, so imagine me playing for them.”
