Arsenal boss Unai Emery has been urged to return to his former club Paris Saint-Germain and sign Adrien Rabiot this summer.
Emery coached Rabiot during his time with the French club, and with the 24-year-old set to leave the French capital following the conclusion of this contract at the end of June, the Spaniard has been urged to make a swoop for the midfielder.
Former Liverpool star Steve Nicol believes Rabiot, who was frozen out by the Ligue 1 giants after rejecting offers of a new deal, would be ideal for the Gunners.
“Adrien Rabiot to the Premier League I think would be a good move for any Premier League team,” Nicol told ESPN FC.
“And I think there’s one team in particular who would benefit – Arsenal.
“Unai Emery knows him as well, he should know his game inside out.
“Arsenal need somebody in the middle of the park, that’s for sure.
“I’m going to say Rabiot to the Premier League – yes.
“And the destination should be Arsenal.”
