Arsenal have reportedly offered Real Madrid €30m for Luis Vazquez.

A little over a week ago it was reported that Unai Emery had convinced the Arsenal board to cough up €22.5m for Lucas Vazquez who will be forced out of Real Madrid this summer apparently.

With the arrival of Eden Hazard and Rodrygo Goes, Don Balon reported that there is no room for Vazquez in Zinedine Zidane’s squad, that Arsenal were in ‘pole position to welcome him,’ and that Real Madrid want €30m for him.

Now, Real Madrid reportedly want €40m for him and have actually received a €30m offer for him from Arsenal – plus a bonus structure.

The player would apparently prefer to stay with Real Madrid but, targeting a place in Spain’s Euro 202 squad, he knows he may have to move to get regular football.

Inter Milan are also said to be interested in the player but will have to better Arsenal’s offer.

Although he featured in 31 La Liga games last season for Zidane, the 28-year-old winger averaged fewer than 50 minutes per game. Unsurprisingly, this had an impact on his stats with just one goal and three assists in those games.

Arsenal were also linked with a move for him ahead of the January window but, of course, we didn’t have the money to buy anyone then.

We don’t have much to play with in this window either and €30m would represent a good chunk of it.

Last summer we were reportedly willing to pay €40m for him.

Vazquez signed for Real Madrid when he was 15 and is under contract until 2021.

Arsenal have reportedly already agreed a deal with Yacine Brahimi to sign for the club on a free transfer.
