Krystian Bielik isn’t going to get a chance to prove himself at Arsenal, according to reports in the Polish media, and AC Milan want to sign him.
Polish outlet Przeglad Sportowy claims Unai Emery doesn’t see Bielik as part of his squad for the coming season, and Arsenal would prefer to send him out on loan again. The 21-year-old doesn’t lack outside interest, with AC Milan reportedly after him.
With Tiemoue Bakayoko going back to Chelsea, Milan are apparently looking for someone to fill the no. 6 role, and PS write that Bielik fits the description.
There are also clubs from the Championship and the Netherlands showing an interest in the Arsenal man.
Despite not giving the player a chance at this stage, the Gunners don’t want to sell him, and they’re looking to extend his contract before a loan.
Personally, I’d take this report with a large pinch of salt. We’ve seen plenty of young players given an opportunity in training with the first team even this week, from Joe Willock to Emile Smith Rowe, Tyreece John-Jules, Kelechi Nwakali and more.
Quite why Arsenal would allow all of those youngsters a chance to prove themselves but write off Bielik before he even returns from holiday is beyond me. It just doesn’t seem likely.
The club were happy to reevaluate Emi Martinez’s position on the back of a strong loan, promoting him to second-choice, and I’m certain they’ll do the same with Bielik.
