Dani Ceballos may only have joined Arsenal this summer, but he’s already becoming a fan favourite at the Emirates and proved exactly why during the side’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham.

After a strong start to the season, Ceballos will have been disappointed to have been named among Unai Emery’s substitutes for the north London derby, especially as Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane put Spurs two goals in front in the first half.

However, Alexandre Lacazette’s brilliant equaliser right on half-time dragged Arsenal back into the clash and Ceballos – who joined on loan from Real Madrid in July – made his entrance in the 63rd minute as Emery’s men were chasing an equaliser.

Ceballos created both chances in a 2-1 victory over Burnley earlier this season and, on Sunday, the Spaniard impressed once again on an even bigger stage.

Just eight minutes after Ceballos’ introduction, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang found an equaliser for the Gunners, prodding home Matteo Guendouzi’s pinpoint ball from close range.

While many Arsenal fans praised Ceballos for his impact off the bench, many highlighted his impact on it as he lived and breathed every moment in the opening 45 minutes of the match.

His reaction to Lacazette’s strike showed just how up for the fight he will be for Arsenal this season.

Tony Adams has been impressed with Ceballos and Arsenal’s attackers, but believes Arsenal will always be vulnerable until Emery sorts out the defence.

‘We’ve just got to sort out the other end of the pitch, really. All over the place,’ the ex-Arsenal captain told Premier League Productions following the north London derby. ‘We’re not pulling the strings, we’re not feeding the front three.

‘If we can get the ball into the front three you can see what they can do. Then just hope for the best at the back, I think that’s all you can do with this mob.
