The new Arsenal left-back took very little time showing his team-mates what he is capable of in training

Kieran Tierney wasted no time introducing himself to his new Arsenal team-mates by humiliating Shkodran Mustafi in training.

The young Scotland international was signed from Celtic in the summer but is yet to turn out for the Gunners due to an injury.

On Thursday Tierney was in training for the first time this season ahead of a return, with his goal simply being to get match-fit.

But in addition to the running drills he completed alongside Hector Bellerin – who is also on the mend following a long-term injury – Tierney took part in a Rondo.

For some of the left-back’s Arsenal team-mates it was the first time they got to see the Scottish defender in action.

Although Mustafi probably wished Tierney had just stuck to running.

Footage from the training session captured the German centre-back attempting to close down Tierney, who quickly and skilfully popped the ball through his legs.

The rest of the Arsenal team reacted to the nutmeg in exactly the way you would expect, with Mesut Ozil and Nicolas Pepe among the players poking fun at Mustafi.

Arsenal fans on Twitter reacted similarly, with one writing: “Kieran Tierney nutmegging Shkodran Mustafi is the best thing you’ll see today.”

Another added: “Kieran Tierney casually nutmegging Mustafi on his first Arsenal training session. Safe to say he’ll be a fan favourite if he keeps that behaviour up!”
