Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney is closing in on a return to action following his move from Celtic this summer.

The 22-year-old joined for a fee reported to be in the £25million range, and fans are excited about the potential of the defender.

The former Celtic star underwent surgery on a groin injury before joining the Gunners, and is yet to make an appearance.

However, he has been selected for the Arsenal Under-23s on Friday night, along with returning defender Hector Bellerin.

And the club have been busy promoting his first action in an Arsenal shirt by asking him about his favourites list – from footballers to films and even clothing.

While no Arsenal players made his top three favourites of all time, and he understandably did not pick the Emirates Stadium as his top ground, the fans will be loving his choice for top Gunner.

“One of [my favourite players] is Scott Brown, who I played with for many years and learned a lot off,” he told Arsenal’s YouTube channel. “The other two are Celtic legends, and that’s Bobo Balde and Henrik Larsson.

“Probably [Thierry] Henry [is my favourite Arsenal player]. I remember all the goals he scored as well, and you’d watch them on Match of the Day. When you’re growing up you watch Match of the Day and he was always scoring great goals, so probably him.

“Favourite stadium, hands down, is Celtic Park. The noise and the atmosphere it creates is incredible, and I’m lucky enough to have played there.”
