Arsenal beat Nottingham Forest 5-0 in their Carabao Cup third round tie.
Gabriel Martinelli netted in the 31st minute before Rob Holding and Joe Willock scored to secure the victory in the second half.
Martinelli met Calum Chambers’ impressive cross to head past Forest keeper Arijanet Muric.
Holding then headed home from Reiss Nelson’s corner to put the Gunners 2-0 up. Willock added a third with ten minutes to go before Nelson scored a fourth.
Martinelli went on to net his second of the evening with a fine strike in added time.

Didn’t have much to do against Forest. Nice quiet evening for the back-up keeper.
Calum Chambers – 7
Impressive cross to set up Martinelli’s goal. The defender could earn himself a start against Manchester United.
Shkodran Mustafi – 6
No calamitous errors from the German and almost scored from Nelson’s corner.
Rob Holding – 7
Was welcomed back by Arsenal fans after a long lay off and slotted in well to the back four. Fine header to put Arsenal 2-0 up.
Kieran Tierney – 8
Arsenal’s summer signing impressed on his debut and was a constant threat down the left.
Joe Willock – 8
The midfielder’s powerful runs caused Forest problems all night. The youngster will get regular game time this season.
Lucas Torreira – 6
Broke up play well at the Emirates and set up a few counter attacks.
Reiss Nelson – 8
Played well on a rare run out this season. Hit the post from a free kick in the first half then got his goal late on.
Mesut Ozil – 7
Arsenal’s captain for the night had some nice touches but failed to dominate the game as expected.
Emile Smith Rowe – 6
Was unfortunately stretchered off in the first half after a clash of heads. Replaced by Bukayo Saka.
Gabriel Martinelli – 9
The striker netted two impressive goals. A fine header to open the scoring before a curling effort capped off the win.
