Barcelona are reportedly on the market for a Luis Suarez replacement.

The Uruguay international has been an outstanding servant at the Camp Nou following his £75m transfer from Liverpool in the summer of 2014.

In his first season in Spain he helped Barca win the treble – La Liga, Copa del Rey and the Champions League – having forged a devastating forward line alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar.

Suarez has continued to rack up the winner’s medals with the La Liga giants, but he turns 33 in January and it’s time that Barcelona start looking to the future.

Despite having Ousmane Dembele and Antoine Griezmann on the books, it would appear that a natural centre-forward is the target.

And a number of names have been linked with the post.

Mundo Deportivo claim that Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe, Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino and Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez are on Barcelona’s wishlist.

As is Manchester United and England star Marcus Rashford, although luring him away from Old Trafford might be difficult as he signed a new long-term contract recently.

One name missing from this list is that of PSV Eindhoven’s Donyell Malen and that would be fantastic news for Arsenal and Unai Emery.

The Gunners are reportedly willing to spend big on bringing the Netherlands international back to the Emirates Stadium.

And according to Tuttosport – via the Sun – who claim it could take as much as £50m for PSV to do business with any interested party.

However, reports in Spain claim that Barcelona are ready to launch a bid for the ex-Arsenal youngster in the January transfer window.

Furthermore, the report states that Ernesto Valverde has sent scouts to watch the 20-year-old in action in each of his games this season and that they have been ‘blown away’ with his brilliant start to the season.

But if Barca focus their attentions on the aforementioned quintet then that could allow the north London outfit a free run at Malen.
