Arsenal are keeping tabs on promising Feyenoord youngster Orkun Kokcu, according to reports.

The 18-year-old is having a breakthrough season in the Dutch Eredivisie, featuring eight times in the league and scoring once.

Kokcu has already represented Turkey at under-21 level, despite playing for Holland youth previously.

As reported by the Mail , Feyenoord are bracing themselves for a bid for midfielder Kokcu after his decent start, and would struggle to turn down an offer in the region of £20 million.

The Gunners are intent on signing the best young talent as they continue their rebuild under Unai Emery .

Matteo Guendouzi has made a good impression since his arrival at the Emirates, while highly-rated William Saliba joins at the end of the season.

In addition the Gunners have also promoted Joe WIllock, Buyako Saka and Reiss Nelson from the academy set-up, and summer signing Gabriel Martinelli has bagged four goals in just a handful of appearances.

Part of Emery’s rebuild is to offload any deadwood at the club, with Mesut Ozil among those the Spaniard is trying to get shot of.

Ozil’s £350,000-per-week wages are a drain on Emery’s budget, and he does not see the 30-year-old as part of his first-team plans.

Arsenal are said to have opened talks with Fenerbahce over a potential loan deal from January.

The Turkish side were interested in obtaining Ozil’s services in the summer but pulled out of a deal due to not being able to fund a transfer.

However Arsenal are now prepared to part-pay some of Ozil’s salary just to get him off the wage bill.

Emery is also said to be eyeing a move for RB Salzburg striker Hwang Hee-Chan after his recent performance against Liverpool .

Hwang has plundered seven goals in 11 games this season – including two in the Champions League – and is being watched by clubs across Europe.
