Granit Xhaka has agreed on personal terms with Hertha Berlin ahead of a January transfer move to the club.
The Swiss midfielder has found himself out of favour at Arsenal since his angry reaction to the club’s fans booing him back in October.
Earlier today we covered a report that stated he had told his teammates he would be leaving the club and it appears he has already been working hard to achieve that.
Fussball Transfers report that the Arsenal midfielder already has an agreement in place with Hertha Berlin for a move in January.
He ‘absolutely wants’ to make a return to Germany, having played there with Borussia Mönchengladbach for four years between 2012 and 2016.
That could be on the cards, although it is made clear that Hertha Berlin are yet to find an agreement with Arsenal over a transfer.
They are willing to make a ‘concrete offer’ for Xhaka, though, and ‘it will probably not be long’ before details over the move are clarified according to the website.
Whether Arsenal will be ready to accept a bid isn’t known, although given Xhaka’s standing at the club and the ‘deep crack’ October’s incident caused, it seems unlikely they would stand in his way.
