Aubameyang Drops Huge Hint On Contract Extension Signing

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has said he will not be leaving Arsenal, in January at least, despite all the talk in the English media that he’s halfway out the door.

It had been widely accepted by the Arsenal fanbase that, as long as Unai Emery remained at the club, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would be out that window as soon as it opened on January 1.

But Emery went instead and now the Arsenal captain looks like a man on fire.

Could it be he’s putting himself in the shop window ahead of one big final career move in the summer? Probably, but are we really going to complain if he continues to play like he has in the last few games?

Speaking to RMC after the game against Manchester United, Auba said, “The English press likes to talk a lot. For now, I’m here. I’m 100% here.”

The ‘for now’ bit is, of course, concerning, but it looks more like an issue we will need to face in the summer. For now, we can rely on him to try and get us out of this mess and, perhaps, back into Europe for next season.

Auba seems very much on board with what Mikel Arteta wants to do and for a player who is often called lazy for his movement around the pitch, he joined another lazy star in Mesut Ozil, in covering the most ground against Manchester United on Wednesday.

For now…
