Arsenal Star Finally Back on The Pitch After Two Months Injured

On Saturday, Jordi Osei-Tutu returned to the pitch exactly two months after his last appearance for VfL Bochum, helping them to a late victory.

As we reported earlier in the week, Jordi Osei-Tutu made his return to the VfL Bochum squad on Monday, making the bench for the first time in almost two months. It was good to see him back with them again, but he didn’t get any minutes on the pitch that day.

Instead, we had to wait for the two-month anniversary of his last appearance, this Saturday. Osei-Tutu last played against Jahn Regensburg on 22nd December. That day they pulled one goal back from 3-1 down, but didn’t quite complete the comeback.

Yesterday, February 22nd, the right-back came on with the scores level at 1-1. The Arsenal loanee played the final 12 minutes, and once again his team scored in that period. This time, it was enough to win the match.

In his brief spell on the pitch, Osei-Tutu won the only tackle he attempted, won three of six duels, and completed one dribble and one pass. Not the most impactful substitution, but a positive one. Hopefully, one that starts to get him more minutes from now on.

The 21-year-old is up to 11 appearances (five starts) for the season, scoring one goal.
