Amazing Stats Show Bukayo Saka is 2nd-most-used Premier League Teen

Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Bukayo Saka is the second busiest Premier League teenager this season, and he’s top of the pile excluding those who have now turned 20.

Saka is certainly playing a lot for Arsenal in the Premier League right now. Injuries to Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac opened up a spot for him at left-back, and he hasn’t looked back.

No Premier League teenager played more minutes than Max Aarons for the first five or so months of the season. Then he turned 20 in January. Even so, his minutes before that point (1,710) are greater than any other teenager in the division.

Saka is second with 1,176 minutes in total. That puts him ahead of Dwight McNeil (1,028), Aaron Connolly (823) and Callum Hudson-Odoi (770) in the top-five. McNeil and Connolly both turned 20 in November and January respectively.

The Arsenal winger is by far the youngest, not even turning 19 until next season. His rise isn’t exactly surprising for those of us who followed him in the youth teams, but it’s still impressive to see such an inexperienced player doing so well at senior level.
