Tyger Smalls has confirmed reports of a trial with Arsenal over the last two weeks, spending time with the u23s and the first-team.
As we covered last week, Arsenal offered 17-year-old non-league forward Tyger Smalls a trial recently. We now know from the player himself that he spent five days training with the u23s, as well as some time in first-team training.

Smalls also went to watch the senior side play their first-team game against West Ham United over the weekend.
Currently, Smalls plays for Saffron Walden Town, down in the ninth tier of English football. He previously played for Spurs with his brothers at youth level, but they left for non-footballing reasons. In three seasons with their youth teams, he scored almost 300 goals.
The player has a couple of goals since joining Saffron Walden Town in the last month or so. It’s obviously hard to judge his ability based on performances at that level, but he won and scored a penalty in a friendly with Crystal Palace recently.
Of course, the big question now is whether he’ll get a deal with the club. It’s hard to say without knowing how the trial went, but it shouldn’t be long before we get an update now that his week with the club is over.
