Layvin Kurzawa is talking to Valencia and Arsenal over a free transfer this summer, with Juventus pulling out of the race, according to reports.
Writing for Calciomercato, Fabrizio Romano reports that PSG left-back Layvin Kurzawa is talking to Arsenal and Valencia, whilst his agents are pushing for an increasingly unlikely move to Juventus.
Kurzawa is available on a free transfer this summer, as his contract expires in June. He was previously very close to a move to Juventus, but the Serie A club pulled out. Their interest fell away with the good form of Luca Pellegrini on loan at Cagliari.
At this point, it seems Kurzawa’s agents are chasing a lost cause with Juve. That opens the door for other clubs to swoop in this summer, and Arsenal are reportedly among them.
The Gunners did hold talks with the player in January, but didn’t contact PSG to complete the deal immediately. Instead, it seems they were hoping to confirm his interest ahead of a free transfer.
Technically, Arsenal or Valencia could confirm the move at any time. Kurzawa is in the final six months of his deal, so he’s free to negotiate with foreign clubs. We’ll probably need to wait until football starts up again to see any progress, though.
