Bernd Leno has proved he has not quite the right amount of Arsenal DNA by only being moderately injured instead of severely.
When Leno was shoved by Neal Maupay against Brighton we all feared the worst as his leg went in two different directions at the knee.
On first viewing, it seemed like he could be facing a significant time on the sidelines with many suggesting he could be out for up to a year.
Thankfully, the problem is not as bad as first feared and he will miss around four-to-six weeks of action, effectively ending his season, but at least allowing him to be available for the next campaign, which seemed highly unlikely at the time of the shove.
Arsenal updated to say about his injury, “Right knee. Positive news after detailed assessments. Sustained moderate ligament sprain during Brighton & Hove (a) on Saturday. Aiming to return to full training in four to six weeks.”
It’s like a miracle or something.
